Six weeks. One point and shoot. Could I do it? That certainly was the question I was asking myself as I was stepping onto my flight to Bangkok. Of course, other thoughts crossed my mind too, like “Did I forget something?” and ”Will that kilo of ham in my luggage go off before we get there?” Well, let’s find out if the G9 was up to the task.
When you’re an avid photographer, you always like to be prepared. It’s hard to leave home without a camera and a lens or two, let alone go on a long trip without all your gear. And being an avid photographer, you probably have accumulated quite a lot of gear. So, when you find yourself going on holidays to some other part of the world, you’re going to have to ask yourself: “What the hell do I take and what do I leave behind?”
Now, I must say I’m new to blogging and by no means am a professional blogger, this being my 6th blog post ever. But I have been reading blogs since forever and there’s something that really irks me about a lot of the commercial tutorial blogs, and that thing is the Unnecessary Adjective & Arbitrary Numbered List™.
The picture above has nothing to do with police motorcycle training but I thought it was funny. That’s a shot taken in Cambodia and it’s not an uncommon sight. We had a medium sized refrigerator delivered to our house by motorcycle once. Fun times.
Anyways, came across these two videos that I found interesting. One is of the French police doing their motorcycle training and the other is of the Japanese police doing theirs. Quite impressive.
Videos after the jump.
